It is that time in our home…(again)… touring different colleges looking for the “right” one!
We took the boys out of school to go to Athens Ohio to tour Ohio University. This college has a special place for both of my boys. The Marching 110 band at OU is a band that our HS band shadows. We are a dance band, just like OU and both of our band instructors graduated from Ohio University.
This was the first time I have been to see Ohio University. It is such a beautiful campus! The brick buildings and trees are everywhere. You feel like you are in a really special place.
Our tour guide was great. She gave us the backwards tour. My husband calls it that because she walks backwards almost the whole tour…so she can talk to us. It is amazing she doesn’t fall!
We had an hour tour of the campus and then had about an hour session that they discussed financial requirements, student population, majors etc..and we had time to ask questions.
The campus was great…. the tour was very informative and everyone was friendly. I wouldn’t be at all upset if one or both of our boys picked this college.
(There is music on this video, so please be aware and adjust your volume if needed)
Dave and I were both very impressed with the campus, the tour we were given and the look and feel of the college.
T and D have both taken their ACT test. They are both going to take them over to try and do better because….well…why not? If a point or two could make the difference in a full ride scholarship or not… then it would be silly not to try and do better.
