Autumn in Ohio is beautiful
I didn’t always appreciate the changing autumn leaves in Ohio. I grew up here.. so it was no big deal. I remember driving around and my mom pointing out all the brilliant colors and she just loved them. I would look and think… OK, it is another orange and red tree…what is the big deal?
I have only lived in Ohio and a couple years in Illinois, so I have never been in a place where we didn’t have the changing leaves. But it has been in my adult life that I do realize how beautiful it really is.
This year the leaves have not been quite as colorful as other years. We had a dry season, so the change in leaves is not as bright. But you can still find some great leaves.
This tree I saw when I was driving to Detroit. It was not far from my house and I had to just pull over to get these pictures. I saw many more great pictures… but didn’t have the time to stop and get photos of them in the last couple days – or it has been over cast and you wouldn’t have been able to see how pretty the colors are anyway.
There are only a few weeks that you can enjoy the brightly colored hillsides. So far we haven’t had that nasty weather that stripes all the leaves off the trees early. That is a bummer.
I was hoping to get some of my son’s senior pictures with the changing leaves, but I dont’ know that we are going to be able to get it done.
If you get a chance in the next week or two… drive around and enjoy the changing leaves…. appreciate how beautiful they are …let the kids play in them…

Beautiful pictures, I was born in Cincinnati and lived there for about 7 years before coming to IL.
Thanks Karen. I lived in IL for 3 years!
